Notifi for CTRM

The diagram below shows how Notifi fits into the CTRM process. The process starts when the interpreting clinician completes the study and finalizes the report, following their existing workflow and data capture process (dictation, speech recognition, etc.).

1. Notifi scans the interpreted study and looks for key indicators that designate a critical test or critical result.
2. Once a critical result is identified, Notifi takes over the management of communications as depicted in the diagram.

3. Notifi automatically and immediately begins to contact the designated provider whether it is the ordering physician, nurse station, emergency department or a combination of any or all care providers for that specific patient. Notifi will send the communication to each provider’s preferred communication device.
4. If receipt of the study and associated result are not verified within a pre-established time Notifi will escalate the critical test result alert to alternate devices and/or alternate providers. Multiple escalation levels are available and are completely customizable to meet your requirements based on patient type and location as well as user and provider preferences.
5. Upon receipt of the alert the provider can acknowledge receipt and read back the critical result via telephony with voice recognition or secure web access from a computer, iPhone, Blackberry or other web-enabled device. The critical test result can also be proxy acknowledged by the provider.
6. Notifi captures and time stamps all data during the communication cycle from the sending of the initial communication attempt through to acknowledgement of receipt. The Notifi reporting tool supports a wide variety of reports on turnaround times and other statistics sorted by department, entity, physician and additional criteria to enable simple compliance and performance auditing.
