Philly Area Business Owner “Named Hero of Small Business” During National Small Business Week 2010
Medical Software company HIT speaks on Capital Hill at invitation of Rep. Sestak

Exton, PA June 8, 2010 – HIT co-owner and President Brian Biddulph-Krentar spoke to Congress on May 26 as part of National Small Business Week. The hearing gave small business owners from across the country the opportunity to tell Representatives, first-hand, what is and is not working with American small businesses today. Biddulph-Krentar, who founded Exton, Pa-based HIT in 2005, was named a Hero of Small Business and invited to take part in the hearings by Congressman Joe Sestak (D - PA-07).

“Small businesses like HIT are still the backbone of the American dream that started here in Philadelphia with our founding fathers,” said Biddulph-Krentar. “Keeping our officials in Washington in touch with the realities of entrepreneurship is critical to our country’s economic recovery and Philadelphia’s continued growth in high-tech, medical and other high-growth sectors.”

Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has proclaimed National Small Business Week to recognize the contributions of small businesses and their owners. In 2010, National Small Business Week honored the estimated 27.2 million small businesses in America. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and small businesses create 60-80 percent of new jobs in the country.
