Analysis and Design
The initial phase of a project consists of several important steps. We assist
facilities in defining tailoring standards, recommend work-arounds, and perform
actual system building (including report writing). We must first assess your
current processes and workflow in order to recommend profile setup, system
design-including screen, dictionary, requisition, reports and security
definition-that will meet your needs.
Phase Two: Testing
Following the analysis and design stages, we work with you to develop an
effective testing strategy plan which includes detailed test scenarios. Our
consultants coordinate and/or perform unit, integrated, and volume testing to
ensure a successful activation.
Phase Three: Training
During the training phase, HIT Consultants can act as direct trainers
or we can work with your staff to coordinate the training activities. Whether
you are a large facility or a small department, our training program will
quickly bring your staff up to speed on the new system in an accurate and
efficient manner.
Phase Four: Activation
Prior to activation, we work closely with you to develop detailed activation
plans. This instills staff confidence and reduces confusion during the
activation process. It also greatly reduces unnecessary surprises during
go-live. At HIT, we roll up our sleeves and work alongside
your staff in the command center to assist, resolve and prioritize issues
arising from the use of the new system.
