HIT was started in 2004 with the hope that we could help hospitals improve departmental workflows and have a positive impact on patient care. For the past seven years we have done that through our consulting services and more recently, our Notifi software.

In 2007, we began hearing from a lot of our customers that  healthcare communications were major area of concern, so in 2008,we decided to shift our focus to software development and began creating Notifi as a critical test result management tool.  Today I am proud to say that Notifi is a robust communication tool that can play many roles in hospitals, independent labs, imaging centers, and physician practices.

I started this company not to simply generate revenue, but to create innovative solutions to complex problems, while also providing an exciting and challenging work environment for our employees.  Every one of our employees pours their heart and soul into what they do, and I am proud to watch them go above and beyond their role for the betterment of the company and to the benefit of our clients.  I am also proud to say that every full-time employee is an HIT owner and equity holder.

HIT employees have become experts in healthcare communications and notifications.  We are aware of the challenges in the industry, and we strive to provide ground-breaking solutions to address these issues.  Those challenges include both a lack of timely notifications as well as over-notifying clinicians. As the number of IT solutions increases in hospitals and other healthcare facilities, over-alerting will become a tragic problem, especially with electronic medical record systems.  This over-alerting will lead to patient safety issues as messages will be ignored and lost.  Over-alerting will also decrease the satisfaction of referring physicians.  Notifi’s “intelligent communication engine” provides timely notifications based on hospital policies and recipient preferences and can solve the problem of over-alerting by managing all of the client’s communications with a single system.

We consider our clients our partners, as they are more than a revenue stream for us.  They are a main source of our new ideas. At HIT we believe that by including our clients in the idea generation process, our products will meet their needs better, and they and all future clients will reap a greater benefit.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership with us.
